Tiny Nest

Going thru some pots on the side of my studio I came across this little tiny bird nest. I couldn't believe it. The pots have been on there for some time.I use them for Piquetassiette. Here was this lovely gentle little nest. All sorts of bits and pieces intertwined, even my hair, so beautiful. I brought it in and placed it in my cupboard. It sits there to remind me that there is a quiet gentle, order and rhythm to life. I stood still long enough to see.

Wine and Pears

18x24 oil on canvas. I reworked the wine and pear painting, didn't really like all the pears lying about. Taking the other one down, if you saw it it was a good lesson in changing the painting.
I think the sliced pear adds interest and I put a label on the bottle. I have another couple of wine bottle paintings to paint in the next few days but wanted to get this one done. They are drying nicely with the dryer too!!
