8"x8" heart, pique assiette. Hand made, original design embellished with vintage pottery and hand made porcelain clay and earthen ware clay tiles and my hand painted imagery.
I must paint today!! These hearts are addictive! I love making them and this green so fun! I finally found some green pottery and between my sister, my mom and friends and a nice little second hand shop here I was able to complete this one!! This heart is SOLD!!

Piqueassiette Hearts

8"x8" earthenware hearts with piqueassiette and hand built embellishments. I just finished these new pieces and it was fun to get back to clipping and chipping plates! These hearts are different with the scalloped edge. Very pale blue bird blue grout. These Hearts are SOLD!!

VALENTINE CROW

Yes, more crows.I just pulled him from my kiln this morning. I love to make them, paint them, photograph them, watch them, feed them!!  This crow has a clay heart glazed in red around his neck. He is made of terra cotta clay and glazed in rich black.

Piqueassiette Crosses

3.5"x2.5" and 4.5"x2.5" handcut tiles and glass on earthenware clay.Sealed with grout and sealer. These little crosses have sold.

Little crosses for Christmas. I'm starting my ornaments early!These are sweet on the tree and also to hang on the wall year round.They also make thoughtful gifts and special tied onto a package. 10.00 each.

Partridges and Pears

Victoria Boster makes the most beautiful bird nests out of yarn! She has an idea for Christmas, to make her nests with Partridges and Pears. She asked me if I would make them for her from earthenware clay. I am honored that she has commissioned me to this delightful creative challenge. The pieces are small (2") to fit in the nests.I have linked to her beautiful blog so that you may see her lovely creations!

CROWS with HEARTS

6"x4"  hand built earthenware clay. I've been painting these heartfelt crows with hearts for some time and it just occurred to me to make them in clay! This was fun, having these little crows come to life, so to speak!

Sculking Crow

New crow this morning! This is a sculking crow if ever there was one! He has his acorn and he is very pleased with him self.

Hand built in red earthenware clay and glazed in black glass glaze 11"x4". This will go to the Chambers Gallery today!

WHEN PIGS FLY!!

Just pulled this little piggy from the kiln yesterday. I love the white glaze.He is 8.5"x4.5". I'm working on birds next, little birds but they will be painted . Back to working with porcelain after working with the earthenware clay. It's all fun!

6x10"" Hand built pig with wings! Just finished some clay work. This pig has to be fired and glazed but I wanted to put him on. He is made of white earthen wear clay and will be glazed white and as soon as he's fired I will put him back on. I'm concentrating on clay work right now and will be painting again soon. This piece is for Heather's Gallery.

WHITE BIRD

Fresh out of the kiln this morning, I made 2. I'm not sure if I will leave them white or paint them! I do like the pristine white glaze but I also like color! Maybe just leave them white for a while and make up my mind........A dilemma!!

The White Raven! Rarely seen and mystical. He is adorned with a wreath of flowers and berries to welcome the coming holidays.

NEST

3"wide 1 1/4 tall. Made of red earthenware clay. Lots of glazing. Love making nests. I'm trying something new after Thanks Giving. Have a new idea. I have a couple more to post first.

All The Nests are gone, I'm making more and will post them when I get them made.
