WATER COLOR DOODLES

Small water color doodles this morning. Warming up to paint. I'm going to work in oils however, not water color. This gets me going though. Really fun to play in water color with no real intention to be super serious! No pressure!

I spent the early morning cleaning a straightening up my studio, cobwebs, I haven't been in there in so long! Well it seems like it anyway.

I've put my sewing machine and fabrics away for now, sadly and out I go to get paintings ready for my work shop in Washington in June.I know I will see many of you there and I'm so looking forward to it.

It's such a beautiful day, maybe I'll go water the flowers instead!

TOTE BAG

22 1/2"x18"x5" Oil painting on canvas   SOLD!
This is one of my older  paintings( Manet) that I made into a large tote bag. It is fully lined in rose fabric. This one is made differently than the other one. All stitching is on the out side. Really having alot of fun with these!

6"x8" oil painting on 300 lb paper. Small still life this morning. Back to painting, yay! 125.

Wine and Pears

18x24 oil on canvas. I reworked the wine and pear painting, didn't really like all the pears lying about. Taking the other one down, if you saw it it was a good lesson in changing the painting.

I think the sliced pear adds interest and I put a label on the bottle. I have another couple of wine bottle paintings to paint in the next few days but wanted to get this one done. They are drying nicely with the dryer too!!

Tomato Still life

9x12 I am painting again, put my tag stuff away and my wood cut stuff and now I have to get busy in the studio! I will hope fully post a painting today!! SOLD!

Tea Pot and Onions

Yesterday morning I made chilie. I had the most beautiful bag of onions. Inspired by them I decided to paint this little oil.I think the colors are so lovely. This is an old copper teapot I have painted many times. Putting onions and copper together just causes an intense glow that I love!Hope you like it too! XO Susan

YELLOW CUP

6x6 I got this cup and saucer years ago, always thought I would paint it sometime. It is made with terra cotta clay and is very old. I love the color.

I have been painting tight lately, I have no clue why, it happens sometimes. I go right back to my beginnings. This morning I decided to get my big brush out and paint and it was very fun!

So, big brushes again ! Yay!

HONEY JAR

6x6 o/b 125. My jar of honey will soon be gone and I have to make a trip to the bee keeper to get some more! I will make myself a cup of tea and enjoy one of the few last spoonfuls.
